Sapphire sighed, closing her eyes. She was bored, like she always was. She slowly slipped off into sleep.

Crystal snuck up and peeked at her from in a tree. She tilted her head adorably and smiled.

Sapphire had fallen asleep. She was sitting in the tree, sleeping. She slightly smiled. She had never known family, but she was imagining what her father and mother might have looked like.

She swung down upside down so she was nose-to-nose with her, forgetting about doggy smell.

Almost immediately, Sapphire's breathing became slightly more shallow. She had awoken, suddenly aware of the foreign smell this close to her. She wanted to know if what she was smelling was hostile or not, but wanted it to not know that she was awake. She sat there with her eyes closed, pretending to sleep.

She noticed the breathing differenceand swung back p onto her branch. " Did I wake you?"

Sapphire swung down, out of the tree, not knowing if the girl in front of her meant her harm. Being raised by a psychopath that liked nothing more than to take advantage of her left her a little edgy. She looked up at the girl. "Who are you? What do you want?" She asked, hoping to God that she wasn't a demon slayer or anything.

"My name-..." She said, Swinging down onto the dog girls branch. "-- is crystal. And yours?" She asked, tail swishing.

Sapphire tilted her head slightly. "Friends?" She asked. She had never really heard the word before except from the one who had enslaved her. He rarely used it. She didn't know what it meant. When her old Slavemaster had owned her, he had invited over people he called 'friends'. They had all had her way with her. She didn't know the true meaning of the word after that.

Reading her mind, she said "A friend is someone close who looks out for you and protects you and hangs out with you and helps you out. I'll be your friend if you want."

Sapphire's eyes widened. "You mean, there's really people out there like that?" She asked. She looked down, remembering the boy she had befriended a while ago. She remembered how he had been exactly like that. She didn't know that was what it was called, though. She had thought the boy was just an ally.

She smiled. "You're lookin' at one! So, wanna be friends?" She was hyper on the iced mocha latte she had gotten earlier.

Sapphire looked up, remembering her other friend. "Yes. I'd like that, but I'm worried. My...friend could be in trouble. It's been two years since I've seen him, but I'm smelling his scent close by." She said. She looked around. "Do you smell it, too? The scent of a young human boy?" She asked.
