The Hunted Boy: Part 2

There are certain grasslands outside the city of Brond. The night was cool. It was about 1:00 AM. These grasslands are where a certain someone hunts for people to challenge, however. You need to pass through them to get from Brond to the mountains.

cort was sleeping on the grass. She was also snorring pretty loud, and she shouldent had been sleeping in this area. She did not care at all though she just selpt away. She woke up randomly and looked around. she yawned and streched and rolled over. She started to go to sleep again.

My wings began to burn from work and she landed in the grass. She tapped a button on her ear piece to talk. "Sorry Ryooshi. I'm gonna need a small break." After that, she flopped on her back and yawned.

Ryooshi's voice echoed through the communicator. "It's all right. Don't kill yourself trying to find my friend. There's no time limit on the mission, so go ahead. Rest." he said.

A little ways away, hidden in one of the thick, scattered trees, a pair of eyes were watching her. The one they belonged to was preparing to attack.

"Thanks." I said and looked up at the sky. Still night. I yawned and closed my eyes. Seemingly asleep but alert.

The boy watching her took out a thick stick with a forked end and a stretchy rope. A slingshot. He aimed it to where it would hit her, right in the forehead. He had a sharp rock positioned in it. He pulled the rock back, the elastic noise nearly silent in the night.

One eye opened as I caught an odd scent. My eye turned so I was staring at the boy.

cort then woke up again to see people in a distance. she makes a tierd look, but gets up anyway. She also kind of sees someone elese... cort then got angry. "you pervs!! trying sneek close to me and get me!" she yelled loudly. "come on I'll take you all on! you pervs!" cort yelled again even louder.

I sat up and looked at the other girl. "Huh? I was resting. I'm on a job." I stood, unfurling my wings and stretching them to shake out the cramps.

The boy looked at her, completely unaware that he was found out. He accidentally let go of the rock, causing it to hurtle though the air, but miss Crystal's head only by inches.

cort blinked and looked at the derecion where the rock came from. "pervy rock lancher!" she yelled and chased after.

I seemed to vanish and appeared behind the boy. Putting him in a head lock, I snarled. "Why did you just try to attack me?"

The boy, Kato, struggled. "I don't have to answer you!" He shouted, trying to get at a good angle to bite her arm.

cort grabs away the boy and shakes him. "you trying to take a peek you rock lanching boy?!" she yelled.

He struggled, screaming. "I wasn't doing anything to you!! I was trying to attack her, not you!" He shouted.
